Install the three button head socket screws (7) through the installer plate, into the adapter, and hand tighten. Position the installer plate on the rear crankshaft oil seal. Apply grease to the drill to catch the chips. Drill one hole through the oil seal casing, using the installer plate as a location guide. Make a paint marker line on the bolt and on the cap and on your socket after you have the initial torque done. Each “flat” on the bolt head is 60. for a 6 point and 30. for a 12 point. I generally mark my socket at each “point”, then make my bolt/cap marks the same, at the point.

~Install Instructions~

֍ Please Follow These Instructions EXACTLY!

֍ Get your head decked if installing new head gasket. Every head will need to be decked to give your head a smooth, straight edge. Runescape granite lobster pouch.

֍ We also recommend using a genuine Cummins brand .020 marine head gasket ONLY!

֍ Make sure you have a good torque wrench, we recommend a Snap On Tools brand wrench.

• Don’t Install Washers on long bolts

• Put small washers between the rockers

• All other bolts get the regular washers

• Apply a thin pencil lead size bead of Tube Grease ONLY on both the bolts and the washers.

• Torque to 90#

• Then to 90º

*Remember 90º is just ¼ of a turn

֍ You will have 3 extra bolts left over (one of each size) so if for some reason while installing the torque falls off (the bolt is stretching) you will have an extra one to use.

Description

The 22mm 1/2-inch-drive socket is designed for the Cummins ISX engines. The 19mm 1/2-inch-drive socket is designed for the Cummins ISB engines. With the application of high pressure common rail fuel injection systems, the fuel line fittings are becoming more difficult to access with standard tools. This tool is designed to easily torque the lines correctly, reducing if not eliminating, the possibility of a fuel leak or damaging the fuel line, fuel rail, or fittings. The tool will also fit many other engines in the Cummins line-up.
